Background
Oliver studied law at New York University and graduated in 2006. At NYU, he served on the Student Bar Association for three years, including as its President, and was presented the Vanderbilt Award.
Prior to law school, Oliver graduated from New Hanover High School and attended UNC-Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholar, graduating with Honors.
Practice Focus
Oliver represents lenders and borrowers in distressed debt, commercial disputes, and bankruptcy. He is certified as a Specialist in Creditors' Rights by the American Board of Certification.
Community Involvement
Oliver serves on the board of the Cape Fear Council of the Boy Scouts of America and has served on the boards of the Historic Wilmington Foundation and NHC Parks Conservancy. In 2021, he was recognized as a member of the NC Legal Elite.
